11 miles, and a goal

This afternoon I took what has to be the longest bike ride I’ve done since high school.  I rode 11 miles today.  There were a couple of extended stops during the first half of the route (I stopped at my dad’s house to chat for a bit, and I stopped at my former place of business to get out of the rain for a little while and refill my water bottle), but I did the last 7.5 miles pretty much non-stop (except for stop lights and a couple of drink stops).

The mid-point of my route was just about 2.2 miles from the end point of the route that is my goal ride for the month of May.  My goal ride will take me out to the local reservoir, but there is a fairly steep hill involved, so I’m working up to it.  But it felt pretty good to accomplish this.
